KU students to receive "Prixa Excellence Award"

Prixa Technologies on Wednesday announced Prixa Excellence Awards worth NRs.210,000 (Two Hundred and Ten Thousand Rupees) at Department of Computer Science and Engineering (DOCSE), Kathmandu University, Kavre. The primary goal of the award is to encourage the students in designing and developing much efficient and concrete projects during their course of study through support and closer partnership with the Company.

The Award program has been instated for three years under which the best-chosen group project from second and third year students pursuing their Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science and Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Engineering will receive the Prixa Excellence Award each year. As such, Prixa will annually provide two awards worth NRs.20,000 (Nepalese Rupees Twenty Thousand) and NRs.50,000 (Nepalese Rupees Fifty Thousand) to one of the projects from the pool of second year and third year projects respectively.

Upon signing the MoU, Head of Department at DOCSE, Kathmandu University, said “The best thing about KU is that the students have their own projects from the first year. This initiative of Prixa will for sure encourage our students work with higher effort on their projects.”
